Full Service Oil Change
Transmission Fluid Exchange
Automatic transmission gears deliver power from the engine to the drive wheels. Over time, the fluid inside the automatic transmission degrades. Manufacturers often recommend replacement at intervals stated in years of service or miles of driving. The interval may be shorter for severe use. Replacing transmission fluid at the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended service intervals improves lubrication and helps to maximize the life of the transmission.
Antifreeze coolant should be used in a 50/50 mixture with mineral free water. This mixture protects water in the cooling system from freezing, raises the boiling point of the water and aids in preventing rust buildup. It is easy to check the level of antifreeze coolant and this is something you should do a couple of times a year to make sure there are no leaks in your system. Since changing the antifreeze coolant is not difficult, you should change it every few years to ensure maximum cooling protection.
Gear Box Fluid exchange
ALL COMPONENTS IN A VEHICLE are equally important. If your engine fails, you become stranded. However, if your differential fails, your are in just as much trouble. Many motorists do not often think about the lubricants in their vehicles that require changing other than motor oil. Differential gear lube is one of the oils that should be changed in order to optimize gear and bearing life, but it is often overlooked or changed only when failure occurs. Fuel Injector Service
In many states it is required to have your injectors cleaned out as to meet certain EPA emissions codes. In Michigan it is not required making this a gray area. If you want more of that factory gas mileage and performance, clean out your injectors once a year. This service only takes an additional 5 minutes after the oil change for optimal gas mileage and performance.
Power Steering Fluid
Of all the fluids that go into your car's various systems perhaps the power steering fluid may turn out to be the cheapest. The fluid is the cheapest component of your power-
Engine Cleaner / Flush
Even though you may follow a routine service schedule, your driving conditions may be far from routine. Stop and go driving, prolonged periods of idling, short trips that don't allow your engine time to warm up, towing a trailer, the ingestion of airborne dirt, fuel dilution, water condensation, and oxidized oil will eventually cause the formation of a thick, gummy deposit known as sludge. Settling throughout the engine, sludge will clog oil passages, restricting the flow of oil to vital engine parts, especially in the upper valve train areas.
Serpentine Belt Replacement
The serpentine belt is a single, continuous belt that drives multiple devices in your engine, such as the alternator, power steering pump, water pump and air conditioning compressor. If your serpentine belt breaks, all of these systems will shut down because your car has no way of recharging the battery.
Headlight / Bulb Replacement
We rarely think about the light bulbs in our cars. It’s usually only when we can’t see the road well at night, or see those flashing lights in the rear view mirror, that we find we have a bulb out. Light bulbs are unpredictable, especially incandescent bulbs with fragile filaments. Driving on a dark road with a headlight out is dangerous, and traffic tickets are expensive. Remember we check all of your light bulbs during our 18 point inspection.
